Gearing up!

Well, things are getting busy already, my friends.

There is a show in Pasadena this weekend that I am going to be vending at, things to clean and feed, as well as just having the energy to do everything while tending to Joel who is sick.

So the show is the first one in the area by a group that does them up in Northern California. I've heard good things, so I am actually very excited to see how this show works out!

So I am prepping for this, getting ready for a busy weekend, and kind of putting to the side lines the actual breeding groups that I plan to do.

Now, let me explain why I'm doing what I'm doing.

I had sat down a few months ago and planned out my breedings with females that should be ready to go this season, females that have gone, and I had it ALL SET UP.

I put stickers on the tubs of the females with the name of the male she is going to be paired up with.

Now, here is the problem.

Over the last few months, I have gotten a few more things in, a few more males, sold a few things, so therefore all the stickers are now FALSE.

I have to sit down again and plan my breedings again.

And if you don't know, it is a tough decision to make!!!

It took me three months of sitting and writing and planning and asking and pondering and crying a little... (not really), but it was very very difficult. These are life changing decisions now!

And of course it doesn't help when friends make AMAZING combos you wouldn't have thought about doing.. (Cough cough, Colin...)

So now, I am in a rut. I was ready to pair X with Y, and now... I have no idea!

So here is what I'm going to do.

I will introduce some males to you.

You tell me what you would do with them. Be as creative as you want!

Males:

Lemon Blast
Sterling
Pastel het Pied
Pied
Albino
G-Stripe
Sable
Enchi
Axanthic het Albino
Pastel Yellowbelly
Bumblebee
Caramel
Pastel Orange Ghost
Black Pastel
Pastel Lesser

Dish dish dish!!! Comment away, or send me an e-mail! This will help me tons, and I will post up decided pairings next week.

  1. How about...

    Albino x Lemon Blast
    sterling x Bumblebee

  2. I'd pair the G-stripe with a het Red Axanthic ('cause that's what I'm planning), Pastel, Pied, Black Pastel, Caramel, Sable, Lesser...lots of stuff. I haven't seen too many G-stripe combos yet, so pretty much anything is fair game, though my favs from that list would be Red Axanthic and Caramel Albino.

Axanthic het Albino: go for the Snows again, definitely!

Pastel Lesser with a Spider or Pinstripe.

    Sable x Sable.

    Enchi x Enchi or Mojave.

    Albino x Pied.

Black Pastel x Cinnamon or Sable.

That's all I have at the moment. :-] Best of luck on making decisions!

  4. Black Pastel x Pied. Black pastel het pieds are worth quite a bit more than pied rights now so even doing something crazy like breeding a male black pastel to a pied female is financially sound. Also, the first people in to producing panda pieds in quantity are going to do very well for themselves. I'm pretty much in black pastel x pied acquisition mode these days. The panda pied is a snake that people will want for many, many years to come.

    Thanks, Heather.
