Well, I'm still sick, and in my fever, I have had some revelations about what I want from the season for myself and for future projects. This is a little different than the New Years hopes, as this is more basic in scope.
I WANT MY GENETIC STRIPE FEMALES.
I just sent out the last G Stripe, and I realized that I really really really wanted to have one of my own.
I was kinda bummed that I didn't get to have my holdback female. So this year, come hell or high water, I will get my female.
I WANT PASTEL PIEDS.
I finally succumed to getting into that project, and I have to say, I am excited to see some Pastel Pieds pipping out. I have my Pastel het Male paired up with my proven hets from last year. I've only given him two females, so that better be enough for a few Pastel Pieds. Here's to hoping!
I WANT SPINNER BLASTS and SUPER PASTEL STUFF.
I have always loved the Spider Pins stuff, and I am very excited to be able to work them in together this year. I have the Lemon Blast to a Spider, and I am hoping that will be enough! And of course, Super Pastels are always great. I am also hoping for the Super Pewter, but it may not happen (only one pairing), so I am trying not to get my hopes up too high.
Now for the next season, I am tempted to get into a few new things, but we'll have to see what happens. I really like Spotnoses, and I would like to get into them. Also, I would love to get some cool combo stuff, but as for now, we'll have to see what I come up with myself, and go from there.
How about you guys out there? What are your next planned pickups?
I need ideas..
There is a local show this weekend, so maybe that will be a good place to start for ideas as well.
Have a fantastic day, my friends!!
Get well soon Schmouse!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaay Show
ReplyDeleteOh, no!!! Sick bad! :-[ I hope you get to feeling better soon!!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE my new G-stripe! He's such a lovely little boy! I hope you hatch your female G-stripe this year!
Hmmm, my next planned pick-ups.... Well, I have a lot planned, but I don't know for sure which I'll choose to get next, especially since I typically wait until I find the "perfect" specimen.
Here are those highest on my list: a female Spinner, Super Pastel, and/or Calico for my co-dom project; a female Butter, Russo, and/or Mocha for my BEL project; and a male/female Clown/het pair for the recessive project. I shouldn't buy any new snakes until late this year, though (kinda went overboard last year, hee hee).
I may have to break my snake fast if you end up with some female Spinners available this year, though! :D
my next planned pick ups are a fire fly female and a near adult size 08 caramel female for my pastel caramel project and the fire fly for the pastel kingpin.Maybe some gtps to really been looking at a lot of them to and really wanna get into them.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm starting to want to mess with mystics and hidden genes in the BEL complex. And maybe wanting to see what happens if you throw a sable or a chocolate in there for fun.
ReplyDeleteOoooohhhhh, I want a black axanthic. I don't have any plans for a black axanthic, except maybe mixing it with a pied or a lavender, but ooooooohhhh I want one. And I kind of want an orange dream, but I want to see what an adult looks like before I start throwing $1k+ at it. Oz never shows the adults, and that worries me.
... but those are all long term plans. Short term, this coming summer, I'm going to need to buy a pied male, and I REALLY REALLY want it to be a Kobylka line, not a Kahl line--because I like my recessives! And it's just too easy to inbreed. I wish I had money to throw down outright on a Kobylka line pastel pied, but that's not going to happen.
