Safety First

So this morning, we had an alarm go off for Carbon Monoxide...

I was very concerned about the wellbeing of the animals in the house, as I was already out of the house. Joel went home, and we are waiting to get clearance to make sure everything is safe.

This is just a reminder that things can happen, and to be prepared!

What will happen if something happens in the area? Like if Hurricane RuPaul comes thru your area, are you prepared for it and what will happen to the animals in your collection if you are asked to evacuate?

Do you have a generator?

Do you have a backup plan?

Do you have a place to put all of your animals if you need to move?

Safety first, my friends.

Don't forget about things like this.

It's not only for your animals, but your own well-being as well.

Be prepared, be cautious, but don't be paranoid.

Have a great day, my friends!

Thanks for the reminder -- I live in hurricane central, and I think the next thing I need to put on my list is a generator. I'm new to herps, but I should have been looking at one regardless of my animals because I lost a TON of food during the 2004 season!
