Reorg of the snake room

I think I have finally reached maximum capacity in the snake room. I managed to shove two more racks in that room, and it is busy in there!

It will be tight, but now I have enough growing space to make this happen this season with everyone moving up in tubs and such.

So here are some photos that were requested. Yes, it was dark, and yes, I didn't use the flash.. I actually like these photos. Adds to the mystery.

I even tried to move the racks by myself. Some suceeded (aka the ones with casters, the ones with four tubs), and some I failed miserably on. I failed, and my shoulders and neck are still a tad bit sore. This is what I get for not having help.

Anyway, I think the room is doing well, and today I need to redo the labels on the tubs. That shouldn't make me sore, right?

So I have paired up over night, and here are a few that are locking: (No photos, sorry..They weren't cooperating)

Axanthic het Albino x Axanthic poss het Albino
Albino x Het Albino
Sterling x Het Red
Pastel Super Mojave x Normal
Bumblebee x Blurry
Pastel het Pied x Het Pied
Pied x Pos Het Pied

Season is beginning at full swing now. Time to buckle down!

Oh man...Recovery day

So I am home, it's 6:45, and I have yet to go to sleep.

Why?

I actually attempted Black Friday for the first time in my life.

It was not as bad as I had pictured it, but we were at Walmart at 11:30PM, and the sales began at 5AM.

Was it worth it??

Yeah!

Didn't get my computer, but that wasn't what we were there for anyway. I got a cool new computer chair, and a few other knick-knacks.

I am satiated for now in terms of shopping. I got what I needed, and I'm good! If only Mac had a decent sale, I'd be super good, but... oh well.

Problem is, I have yet to sleep today, and I am not sure if I should.

So I am going to go into the snake room and evaluate things.

And probably pass out in there at some point...

HAH!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and I will be back on track on Monday.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Today is an auspicious day!!!

It is Thanksgiving, and it is a beautiful day, my friends.

It is also the 400th blog I have posted here!!!

WOW!!!

I never really thought I would have enough to say to have 400 blogs under my belt, but I have, and I want to thank you all, my fantastic readers, for making it fun and worthwhile for me to be typing our my thoughts every morning.

While Joel is making potatoes, and I drink my Thanksgiving coffee, I have to say I am really and truly blessed..

Why, do you ask?

I am healthy and happy, I have loving family and friends, a growing and prospering snake blog, a fuzzy Regal friend with his colorful friend Marty Cohen, and I am just overwhelmed today by the fact that even though things aren't "perfect", things are just fine.

Snakes are doing well and breeding, and even today I got some hatchling babies to wake up to!!!

How fantastic is that???

I am very thankful to have the opportuntity to work with such amazing creatures, and such amazing customers and friends that I have met over the years.

It has made this year, as much as there have been ups and downs, so much fuller and richer.

I really hope, from the bottom of my heart, my friends, that even if things are tough, that you can enjoy your day and be thankful.

Know that I am here to answer any e-mails and questions you may have, and even a shoulder to cry on or an open ear.

Have a fantastic day, enjoy your thanksgiving meal, and share the love today.

Working Hard...

Yesterday, I was pairing, and I decided on a whim to reorganize everything.

So, I tried to move a few racks around, and move some animals to different locations.

Now, as you may well know, some of my racks have casters, and I am fully able to move them around by myself. Some, however, have no casters, and are heavy as the day is long. I was unsucessful in my attempts to move them myself. I tried, and pulled a muscle.

As one of my friends pointed out, I should have used the force. The force to me entails waiting for Joel to get home and having him help me.

As you also may well know, I was not home alone. I had Regal to help... But much to my dismay, it was not to be..

He and Marty Cohen were taking a nap, while I was grunting and straining with effort.

Oh, to be a Fuzz...

Anyway, I moved a few of the 09s up to 15qt tubs, a lot of the 08s into 32qt tubs, males to a new rack and females to the old male rack. I spilled lots of sanichips, got nice and dirty, but now??? It is complete!!

I managed to shove two more racks in the room, but unfortunately if I gain any weight from the holiday season, I will not be able to pass thru the passageway I created with racks. So heres to getting into the snake room, eh? Its a squeeze, but more space for snakes, so I think its a good trade-off.

Anyway, here are a few more photos of the 09s I took. Here are the two female Enchis I held back this year. One of them is much brighter than the other, and I can't wait to see how both of them turn out over the next few years.

The problem with Enchis is that the sides are the colorful part, and without seeing the sides, they are not too outstanding.. But when they get older??? Awwww yeah, baby.

And here is the only Super Pastel I own. She is a major pill, my friends. She loves to strike at everything, including the camera. I'm surprised she has yet to get me, but we have the rest of our lives together, so...

Anyway, today is preparing for Thanksgiving day, so I will be getting some pies done and some spuds and such. I kinda wish I was cooking, but then again, I have too many other things to do, eh? Here's to having a fantastic day today, and a better one tomorrow.

Be Thankful. I know I am.

Pre-pairing photos

The boys are on hiatus until tonight, and I haven't moved any of them over. But, the younger boys are producing plugs! The only one who isn't, is of course, this guy...

Gotta love that...

And some eggs are hatching, and I only have one more clutch to be laid. I can't believe this season is running so long, my friends! I hadn't planned it like this, but it is happening!!

Now the real question is, should these gals that are laying so late be involved in the next rotation of 2010? I'm not sure. They are big enough, but will they be ready?
In terms of females, they tend to stay on the same schedule, so do I want to run the risk of trying early, and getting late eggs, or just let them wait a year, and then see if I can get them to go earlier? Hmmmmm, the quandries of a Ball Python Breeder..

Anyway, I have another dinking project to introduce to you, although it is more wishful thinking than much else.. This is a Black Pastel female I produced a few years ago, and she has a ringer. A lot of the Black Pastels I produced had ringers. So, I have the full intention of trying to prove her out as a possible het Pied.

And these are my Mojos that should be ready next year. I can't WAIT... The one above is Het Hypo, and I have always loved the Hypo combos, so I plan on plugging her in with POG when the time is right...

The one below is a female I produced last year, and will be involved in some way shape or form. Not sure yet, but I have a whole other year to figure it out.

YAY Mojos.

Anyway, I am also prepping for the holiday, so maybe there will be more holiday festive photos soon. I tend to shy away from holidays before other holidays, but its coming up soon enough..

Here we go!!

Photos galore!

My computer is dead.

Gotta love the crap that some computer makers make... Now the next question..

Mac or PC?

Anyway, this weekend was pleasant, as we did a few chores, recovered my files from the dead computer, and got some photos taken by Lewie.

I also had a sudden flash of creativity, and took a LOT of pictures of some of the animals that I haven't talked about in a while.

First animal I wanted to bring up is Frog. Seems every year, I have a "problem child". Frog was the problem child of 2008, as she hatched out runty out of a misshappen egg. I was glad she even hatched out, because she was so tiny, she was somewhere around 20 grams.

This is her yesterday. She is only 200 some odd grams over a year later. She is eating fine, shedding fine, pooping fine, but has been a very slow growing animal since her hatching.

Here is a shot of Lucky and Frog, together. They are almost the same size!!! You see what I'm saying about slow growing??

I'm hoping by 2015, she'll be big enough to see if she is a Het Clown, as she is 50% poss het.

And I took a picture of my favorite dinker that will finally be involved in the breeding program. This is Serafina, one of the captive hatched girls I picked up in 2005 that is FINALLY ready to be involved with a male.

She is a very burgandy light female. I am tempted to think she may be some type of BEL complex, but I think that may be wishful thinking. She will be paired up with the Pastel Lesser.

I am getting excited about this season now, and pairings are still happening. I will see if I can snap some more photos of the couples when I get a chance.

Have a fantastic week, my friends.

My Computer is having problems...

Heather is having computer issues.

I am going to have to take it in or something, so there is not going to be a blog today...

The Beauty of Life

I have to say, I realize a lot has been going on this week regarding issues within the industry, and that I am mainly approaching the problems.

So, in an effort to make things even and equal, I wanted to bring up one of the best aspects of breeding reptiles, or procreating anything at that matter.

The beauty of LIFE.

You can call yourself a Genetic Engineer of sorts...

You pick and choose who breeds to whom to make a "better" or "more beautiful" animal.
You see the results, and do it again.

You get to be one of the first people to see this new life come out of the egg!

And the greatest part about Ball Pythons, and the reason I do what I do, is that they have so many variations within the species it is INCREDIBLE!

We as an industry have already managed to hit on quad co-doms, combinations of recessives and co-dominants, and there is more and more to be done! We have found so many different morphs within dinkers, with more to be found and more to be done!

I have to say, when I think about it in this way, I am always in awe of the coolness of what I do.

Living Art!

I feel like what I have managed to accomplish over the years has gotten me to a good place, and although I will still have goals for the animals I have, I am actually pleased with what I have and what I can do.

Living Art, with plenty of paint jobs to make more!

I hope this reinvigorates you in terms of reptiles in general, and the coolness factor. It totally overshadows the little problems that can happen.

Shipping problems and what to do about them

Well, yesterday I had the pleasure of talking to my friend Brian on the phone, and he told me the absolute WORST shipping story I have ever heard.

Let me summarize.

He ships with X shipping company, and has been certified to ship reptiles with them for years.

He ships out a box with one animal in it, in a standard reptile shipping box with "Live Harmless Reptiles" clearly marked on the box.

It arrives at the middle hub with no problems, ready to get sent on its final flight to its destination.

BUT!!!

X Shipping company decides to freak out about the box and offload the whole plane that had already been loaded up to remove the box with the harmless reptile in it.

The box with the harmless reptile in it gets sent to a Veterinarian for care.

Brian does not know any of this is happening, and therefore is unawares that the box is not in route to its destination.

After a few hours AFTER the expected arrival time, he calls up X shipping company to ask what the problem is in terms of tracking his package.

X shipping company tells him: "Sir, you are not allowed to ship live harmless reptiles, and we have sent your animal to a Vet for care."

WHAT???????????

Brian has been certified, mind you, for several years!!!

X shipping company, after several hours of arguing and calling and discussing, finally admits that it was in the wrong, after finally calling the Live Animal department of X shipping company, and gets immediate response saying that Yes, Brian is certified and has been for several years.

Now the main problem with this is that the call to the Live Animal department should have been done FIRST, and prevented this issue to begin with.

The package with the live harmless reptile has arrived at its destination without any more problems.

YAY!!!

X Shipping company admitted fault, after all is said and done, but... what to do if this happens to you???

-Make sure you have your representatives number handy in case of problems like this.

-DO NOT give up!!! Just letting things happen when there is a problem could lead to even more problems (aka being placed in a home from a Vet)

-If something seems wrong, don't wait too long to see what is going on. CALL THEM AND FIND OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING.

The problem I always have with shipping is that it is completely out of my hands. I cannot drive to po-dunk town nowhere 2000 miles away to get my snake back if there is a problem. You need to have a resource to help you in terms of this, so do your research and track those resources down.

These animals DEPEND ON YOU to fight for them. They cannot speak for themselves in terms of being jostled around in a box by Joe Shmoe who doesn't care that there is a perishable item in the box. Do not let the ignorance and stupidity of others kill an animal out of your care. Cause if you do, it is on YOU to fix the problem.

The reason I wrote up this blog, on top of having a great discussion with my friend, Brian, is to keep you on your toes in terms of shipping. Most people don't have issues with shipping, but there are issues that can happen. Be prepared.

I hope I didn't scare you in terms of ever shipping an animal. It should be fine.

I want to add that I have been shipping for a while now as well, and I have never had any problems other than delays due to weather, and ALL of my animals have arrived safe and sound so far. (Knock on wood)

Just keep a watchful eye, my friends. Take care of your animals...

I DID IT!!!

I broke down last night after cleaning and I put some males together with some females. I didn't think there would be much in terms of the new boys, so I started them out slow...

It was a new moon... the stars were falling in the sky, so I thought that may be auspicious enough to try. (Did you see the meteor shower?)

This morning, I saw some action already!

Some of them didn't know what they were doing very well...

This is POG and one of my poss hets. At least he is getting the area right.

This is Carmine the Caramel.. He seems to know what he's doing. He's with a Poss Het.

Albino to Het.

Lemonblast to Yellowbelly. He knows what to do, but she is not having it yet...

And one of my favorites, Axanthic het Albino to Albino het Axanthic. Hopefully I will hit on my Snow this year... They are lovers from last year, so they settled in back to business faster than the rest of them.

The new boys haven't quite gotten it right, but we will be keeping a close eye on them and see if they don't get things working well...

Cross our fingers that they do SOON!

Holdbacks and plans

A few days ago, I went thru some of the gals I held back from the season and took some subpar photographs of them. I actually have one I don't think I ever introduced to the fold as well!

What better time then now, eh?

Welcome to the fold, Mojave Sulfur.

What is a Sulfur, you ask? It is a type of Fire, similar in morph type to the comparison between Cinnamons and Black Pastels.

Yes, she is a double "het" Blue Eyed and Black Eyed Leucistic. I really like her, and getting the subtle tones of her colors while taking photos is a bit hard. She is golden, lovely overwash which may look like a washout of color, but it is somewhat true to her coloration.

And my beloved Pastel Lesser full stripe female... I didn't get the full stripe in this photo, but I am absolutely in love with her. She is fantastic, and will be staying with me for a long time.

And you remember the group of Pewters? Well, this one was my holdback Pewters.. The one I got to pick. She is Pewtering out beautifully.

With everything I am introducing, it is mainly due to the need to focus and get my act together in pairings and plans.

I have to admit, I have nothing paired still!

I am putting it off to get a few more girls larger, feeding as much as I can, waiting for sperm plugs, and just being somewhat lazy. I still have a clutch of eggs in the incubator! Maybe when they hatch and I can turn off the incubator, I will be more inclined to get ready for pairings for 2010.

But, here are a few set plans:

Sterling to Pewter
Lemonblast to Pastel
Pied to Black Pastel
Pastel het Pied to Het Pied
Pastel Super Mojave to Mojave
Bumblebee to Pastel
Pastel Super Mojave to Spider

A few plans are circulating in my head as well... But that will be for a later date.

Have a fantastic week!!

-How to Avoid being Scammed- (Sorry I'm so late!!)

It's been a busy day.

I have been running around all day, had to go pick up some rat pups for the babies, ran around with a few more chores, talked with a few people on the phone, and this is the first time I have had a chance to sit down and blog.

So one of the reasons I've needed to take some time away from the internet was talking to a friend about scammers.

My friend got scammed out of a few animals, and I want to put a warning out to people..

HOW TO AVOID BEING SCAMMED

Number ONE:

Work with a trustworthy breeder! This is a huge thing. Talk to people, ask questions, ask people about their experiences with the person in question. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT WITH HETEROZYGOUS ANIMALS.
Ask for references, ask for pictures, ask ask ask! It may be a pain in the rear for some people, but if they don't have anything to hide, it shouldn't be an issue, right?

Number TWO:

Cover your assets. Just in case something goes foul, keep ALL communications, etc..

Number THREE:

Make sure the animal you are buying is the same animal you are getting. Photos of the animal are good, photos with animals and dates are better. Heterozygous animals should come with paperwork if you don't trust the breeder. But remember, paperwork is only as good as the breeder who backs it up!

There is no sure way not to get scammed other than working with people you trust.

So the bottom line is, work with people you trust. Deal with people you can count on, and you know will be around after the sale.

Its your money and your new animal. Make sure you are covered.

The problem with shows (and relationship issues)

So here is the problem with shows... you always see something else cool that you want.

In my case, this was a full grown Black Headed Python.

He was on a friends table, and he was also in blue and tame as can be. I am always in awe of the beauty of these creatures. So I stole him for a few minutes to enjoy him. Lots of people stopped me to ask questions, because of the impressive quality of the snake.

I felt the need to take him home with me, but Joel said no...

But, Joel got to take something home.

Lets discuss something really important.

I know lots of couples that are in the reptile industry that only have one serious person in the industry, and the other is just a supporter.

Joel is my supporter, and for the longest time, he only watched and put his two cents in with regards to projects, and maybe cleaned a few times. He didn't love the snakes as I do, didn't even know what morphs were what, and didn't really understand completely what I do.

Things are slowly changing over time, and he is getting much more involved. He still doesn't help me clean, but he comes with me to every show that he can, he helps behind the table, and he does (when I ask) give me feedback about projects he would like to see happen (with the assistance of photos).

So to spark his interest in the snakes, we came to a consensus that he should have one that is all his own.

This species selection took him a whole year of looking around at shows, thinking seriously about the animals, and what resources he had available.

And now???

He finally picked a NOT Ball Python to join our house hold.

I have been replaced.

Welcome to the fold, Mexican Black Kingsnake named Jack.

He spends a lot of time with this snake already, and I will be highlighting some growth over the years, I'm sure.

Jack is a very handsome fellow, and he lives in the living room.

Why a Mexican Black King? Well... Something about it being Mexican and Black maybe.. I'd have to get back to you on that one. He just likes the way it looks, and the husbandry is rather simple. I can't be mad at that!

So yes, my significant other has a snake that is his. It took forever, and granted its not anything I would have picked, but I am very pleased that he is taking a solid interest in reptiles.

Now for those of you out there with a spouse or significant other, are you lucky enough to have someone who is in it as well? How do you convince that person "Just one more!" Do you even have to?

I've had this conversation with a few other couples, and it seems to vary. Some couples are lucky enough to share the passion, and others have one that is on FIRE with passion, and the other just humors the other.

I am on the latter, but we're working on it.

Can't be mad at that. At least I get my room.

I swear this is one of the last...

Well... I just got a new shipment in, and this is the last one of the year. I have been honing my projects in, and this male I got in replacement of my Super Mojave.

When I went to Tinley, a friend of a friend had this guy on his table. I saw him, and I was in love. Problem was, I had just picked up the Super Mojo..

So I wheeled and dealed, sold some stuff, made some trades, and finally was able to finagle this guy away.

So he arrived at the house today, and I am STOKED to be able to add him to my arsenal.

What is he, you ask?

Well... He is a while snake. But he is also a Pastel Super Mojave.

I'm sure you are asking, how can you tell? Well, with a Pastel Super, the head is much lighter, and the body is much more yellow in tone, but very subtly.

I don't have the Super Mojave anymore to compare with, but here are a few pics of him to compare (Yes, I posted this yesterday, but I think it still helps)

As you can tell, the head is lighter, and until I can track down a better picture of the body, you can just believe me when I say that the Pastel Super is a tad bit yellower in the body than the Super.

So there you are.

This guy should be in rotations after his Q period, and I can't wait!!

Lucky update and a new Gal

Well, if you didn't know, my mother is an avid follower of the Blog. She is not a snake fan, but she does support me by reading the blog, and some animals do speak to her more than others.

So, when a few days ago we had a conversation about the snakes, she asked about Lucky.

"Hows the silver one doing? The one with the knotted umbilicus? He is a pretty one"

I was suprised! This coming from my mother, who has snake-o-phobia, and has only touched one or two of my animals since I began this business.

So of course, in her honor, and knowing that other people are curious about him as well, I took some pictures of him today.

Here he is! Unfortunately, the bright silver dulls out pretty quickly with the Silver Bullets, but he is still smoking hot. I would say smokey silver even...

He is gaining weight very well, and he has made a full recovery! I am very glad he is fine. I'm hoping his growth stays constant so maybe I can use him next year in the breeding cycle. Lets hope that works, eh?

And at the show, I of course ended up talking to a few friends, seeing a few animals, and this one has a great story as well. My friend Eric offered me a baby Pastel poss het Pied. I was like, hmmmm...

But what sold me was her story.

Apparently she was a runty girl from a twin egg clutch. She was the only survivor, and she hatched out at around twenty something grams. Eric's young daughter (I believe she is around 5) took her under her wing because the animal was so tiny, and named her Teeny. Teeny managed to pull thru. Teeny was a house hold pet for a while, but Eric didn't have enough space. The daughter finally offered to let her go, only under the circumstances that she could come visit.

How cute is that!??!?!

So I introduce to you, Teeny. She is still runty, but I don't really mind. She has an awesome ringer, so even if she doesn't prove out, I have a really cool looking pastel with a great story.

I love those kind of stories about Ball Pythons.
You guys out there have a story like that?

Pasadena Show Recap

The show is over, and I am exhausted. A whole weekend working behind a table doesn't sound like its tough, but honestly, even with help, it is a big to do!

You have to go in early, set up, put the animals in place, make the table pretty, setup your banner, and sit there for 8 hours talking to people, then break down, come back early the next morning and do it all again. And breaking down after everything is done?? WHEW!!! Packing up is a tough one too...

But in all honesty, it is a great experience, and I really enjoy it. It also allows me to meet new people, see old friends, get new animals, sell some to new people. Its great!

I want to extend a hug to the people that stopped by this weekend and introduced themselves as blog readers. I am really glad that what I do day to day is read by such awesome people!!!

Did you know that Joel was in charge this weekend?

HAH! He just thought he was... He even had to wear his "El Jefe" shirt to make himself feel better. (Translation: The Boss)

I bought him that shirt a year or so ago, so its kinda my own fault. It was cute though. He had fun too.

We had a great time the children wanting to hold the animals again too. This little guy was a little nervous, but he had a lot of fun!

Anyway, I didn't get around much to take photos, so Lewie was the one to take these, but I did see a lot. I got to walk around and enjoy the show with the help I had, and I had a great time seeing some new things. Here are a few cool shots.

Here is a Paradox Albino, and I really like them when they look like this! I have seen a few in person, but never this Paradoxical. I thought it was really cool looking.

And my Super Mojave's head. He was sold at the show, but he was a great photo op, apparently. I really like this picture.

Leachies!!!

These guys are HUGE and really cool looking. I think if I were to have a BIG gecko, I would want these guys.

Maybe next year or when we have an empty tank... Maybe.

And of course, the beloved Beardie. I love the facial expressions of Beardies. They always look tired when they stare at you. I used to have a few back in the day, and I really did love their personalities. Maybe I'll get a pet again.

So overall, a great show for a newer and smaller show. I had fun, I met a lot of new people, and am now really going to focus on the breeding plans today while I clean the snake room. Snake room after the show is like a tornado went thru the room. I've got my work cut out for me...

Have a great day, my friends!

Pasadena, Pairings, Weekend fun!

So today I am going to set up for Pasadena. This show is a first for the area, and I am actually kind of honored that I am involved with the first of its kind. I really hope it turns out to be a good show!

I am preparing myself for being busy as all get out, and this is the last show I am doing for the year.

And for the weekend, we will also be hosting people from out of town for the show.

This is fantastic for me, cause I get to bounce ideas off of other people in person!
(Which is not to say what we've been doing here on the blog is not great, cause it has solidified some plans for me as well)

I am trying to get pumped up about this. Its a bit early in the morning yet, but it should be fun by the time I get there. You ever have one of those days?

As for pairings, here is one of the females I have had in the back getting big. She is a TSK Axanthic poss het Albino, and last year, she went on a HUGE feeding break to the point where she was just not allowed into the breeding program.

But now, with lots of MICE :( and lots of love, she is ready to be put with her intended boyfriend, the TSK Axanthic het Albino male I actually got because of her!

I hope now with two females that are (poss) het Snow, I will actually hit on my beloved Snow that I missed out on this past year.

So yes, Snows are in the works again this year. The TSK Axanthic het Albino male with the TSK Axanthic poss het Albino female and the Albino het TSK Axanthic female.

My Snow project is set! I am actually thinking about putting some Spider into the project, maybe some Pin? Maybe a Spinner Snow! Ooooooohhh...

So at least I have that set. One group is SET, my friends! And this pairing group was actually set from the beginning... So I really can't say I've been dwelling on it much. It was already a solid.

But I am sharing it with you, in hopes that this pairing will help me with the SNOWS!

So more pairings to have planned, as well as a Show, and weekend fun! How much better can it get???

Have a FANTASTIC weekend, my friends.

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Whew, it got HOT in here!

I am absolutely in love with Fires.

They make my hands down favorite Leucistics.

I think they are awesome, and I FINALLY have some.

I have been waiting to get some for a while and I finally got some from my friend Brian!

They are amazing, and I really really really am very glad to have them. Why did I take so long to introduce them? Cause they were shedding or something to take away from the group photo..

But here they are, in their glory, and my heart is so full of happiness for finally being able to make Fire combos!!

So after acquiring the group, I needed to get a Firefly. I finally tracked down the one, and I just got him in yesterday.

I didn't get him on white, cause I just unpacked him, snapped a couple of pics, and then put him in his quarantine tub, but I am absolutely thrilled to have him too!

I think Fireflies are great! And this guy spoke to me on a level that I have to say made me jump on the chance to get him.

So now, my Fire group is complete. I just need to get them big and happy and ready, and then... Black Eye Leucistics all over the place!

I have one more animal to introduce, but she was in shed when I took pictures, so maybe next week or something.

I hope to get more out there for you all soon. Things are getting ready to happen over here after a lull, so bear with me!

Have a great day!

Hooray for Boys!

So here are a few of the boys that will be in rotation, some that you have met before.

These guys have a few females dedicated to them already, just because I am not that clever with Normals.

You all remember Pee-Oh-Gee? Ohh yeah. He didn't get anything done last year, so now I am hoping he does this year!

He has a few Het Ghosts to meet up with, as well as a Spider het Ghost. I can't WAIT to see Humblebees.

And my Sterling... I LOVE this guy. I am plugging him into a bunch of stuff, which I haven't quite hammered down. He has a date with a few normals, but other than that, I'm not sure. I think he has a Het Red female dedicated to him... That should be interesting!

And my Pastel Lesser who throws amazing babies. He has a date with a few normals as well, but other than that, a Pastel and a Spider.

I can't wait to see some Queen Bees in my future, as I think they are just AMAZING.

So I need to really sit down again and write out the breeding list, and maybe I'll even post it on here! I've never done that before, just for the reason of not to jinx things (and less anticipation from myself).

Am I a little too paranoid? Maybe... I just want a good season.

Now the real question is, what do other people do to keep the bad ju ju away? Do they not talk about the season? Do they not post pictures?

Hmmmm....

PS. Happy Birthday Lewie!!!
